Dont believe the dates, they got all messed up when I got behind on posting.

The end of the run. Had a real stage and a very nice wooded grove to play in.

Good old SC-48 served me well. I will certainly miss this console.

Forgot to photograph Drive A, Great Big Planes, and Stereo Skyline.

And before I knew it the mainstage was packed

End Run of Bamboozle

What better way to end a tour than a run of five shows in a row.

Ah, the mystical joys of knowing exactly where your stage is…

From Bamboozle 2010

… and having absolutely no idea how to get there. The last six flags show of the tour.

The systems tech (whos shy about his name being spoken by outsiders) playing the video game of make the PA loud.

From Bamboozle 2010

Looks fun, I’d like to try that some day.

Some great security in Hershey PA.

Raaaain!
But not on me.

From Bamboozle 2010

Massive thunderstorm moved in… right after my stage was all packed and ready to be loaded.

From Bamboozle 2010

Tom and I quickly made a big gear pile and double wrapped it in plastic. Then as the lightning drew nearer and the rain started we headed over to the mainstage to help them. They got caught right in the middle of a set and had a lot more gear to cover.

From Bamboozle 2010

Pretty thoroughly drenched and with the lightning drawing even nearer all power was shut off. Then we, and a sizable crowd, waited. As each crack of lightning sounded the crowd cheered. At various times a chant for a band would spring up. One band member went running through the venue as the audience chased him. After some time of this the rain let up and gear was uncovered. It was decided that the main PA was too wet to resume, but no one wanted a canceled show. The solution? Four self powered QSC speakers run from a big orange extension cord.

From Bamboozle 2010

The last three bands all did acoustic sets into the sun breaking though the clouds. I felt like exploring and wandered off.

Back in Vegas. Had quite a sizable stage.

From Bamboozle 2010

Bands didn’t seem to mind, here’s Drive A.

From Bamboozle 2010

A new band was joining the mainstage and didn’t have a method of transporting their backline, so my stage was asked to magically create 14 ft of truck space.

From Bamboozle 2010

and magically there it is. They got their own trailer after a couple of days and started pulling their own weight.

No room for my stage at the Palladium in Hollywood, whatever will I do? Well, two of my bands were playing on the mainstage so that meant I got to get some 5D time in.

From Bamboozle 2010

Another city, another hotel room, another day off I forgot to update my website.

From Bamboozle 2010

Another theater without enough room for a side stage. This one had an extra small mon position.

From Bamboozle 2010
From Bamboozle 2010

The stage is allways ready by the time I get there in the morning, allways.

From Bamboozle 2010

The Rave was a very interesting venue. Over five stories with winding staircases and back passageways.

From Bamboozle 2010

Very hot day, kids are spilling out all the windows and doors.

and being one of the first shows after school got out, decently attended.

From Bamboozle 2010

Found this in the basement.

From Bamboozle 2010

Soldier Field and an expanse of terafloor.

From Bamboozle 2010

The Prices got to play here.

From Bamboozle 2010

and Stereo Skyline, never before photographed in the wild.

From Bamboozle 2010

Some people were more interested in LAMFO on the mainstage.

From Bamboozle 2010

The Prices showed a certain aversion to wearing shoes.

From Bamboozle 2010

I have no idea how that got there.

From Bamboozle 2010

Stuck between a cable trunk and a hard place.

From Bamboozle 2010

Perfunctory Vdosc shot.

From Bamboozle 2010

Cleveland and some amazing beer.

From Bamboozle 2010

and major shipping going on right outside the venue.

Torrents and torrents of rain. That is, after my stage was concluded and entirely packed away. Thunder, lightning, the whole bit. Came on really fast to, barely any time to prepare. Crowd didn’t want to quit and those who stayed were rewarded with the remainder of the acts done acousticaly. Acousticaly through four self powered qsc speakers that is.

Tommorow is the last six flags show, and, most likely, a repeat performance. So far the weather report says 90% chance. I’m reading that as, 90% of your day will be rain.

A bit of what I have to look forward to.

Somehow not falling back into blog updating.

Had some shows in six flags.

So far they’ve outlawed swearing, smoking, and shirtlessness, soon laughing, loud noises, and any physical expression of pleasure.

94 deg and massive humidity. Definitey needed that fan.

At another six flags show we got the Disney stage.

Days off in Vegas were spent quite productively.

So once again I’m in a familar world.

Mainstage on the first day of preproduction.

They’re carrying video walls and swore an assortment of lights.

I am on a very familiar stage. Basicly exactly the same one as warped.

And what’s this? A pallet of oranges?

Are they for us? In fact they are! We are doing 5 min changeovers so the tour bought guitar amps, cabs, and drums. So there’s all the house gear on stage and the bands just walk up with guitars and go… It’s never quite that easy though.

And oops, looks like someone forgot to hang up the banner.

Some quick improvising solved it.

Mainstage crowd looks just a little excited.

Got to play indoors one day.

Told all the aritsts not to get used to it though.

And finaly, for some local color, here’s a view of Flordia.
